What it does
Silence held long enough for another person's statement to return to them for review.
Use it when
- A remark refutes itself without assistance.
- You are waiting for self-awareness to arrive.
- Words would weaken the judgment already visible.
For example
- “I hate drama,” says the person forwarding eight screenshots.
- The meeting organizer complains there are too many meetings.
- Your friend calls a forty-mile detour ‘basically on the way.’
